3 THINGS TO FIND BEFORE MARRIAGE
On the 24th of January 2023, I sent an ex-university mate a birthday message, only for her to reply by telling me that it wasn’t her birthday. Her birthday is apparently on the 26th of January.
This wouldn’t be a problem if I didn’t post the birthday message ON THE WHATSAPP DEPARTMENTAL GROUP CHAT OF MY ALMA-MATA.
In my defence, I was so excited that I remembered someone’s birthday, and I was in such a hurry to be the first to send the “happy birthday message” that it didn’t dawn on me that I may be wrong or that I should have done my due diligence. Well, why is this such a big deal, you ask? My friends and peers roasted me, on the platform and it hurt. And to think, I put some thought into the messages I sent.
Safe to say, I have learned my lesson, and I will only send birthday messages to acquaintances after Facebook has notified me.
