PS; from now on, in this blog post, I’d be using LDR as a short form for “long-distance relationship”.
Two (2) situations would cause you to entertain having an LDR (Long-Distance Relationship). The first situation arises when one or both parties in a romantic relationship who have been nearby physically have to leave each other due to specific activities or events for a significant period.
The second situation that causes people to enter into LDRs — the most common, in my opinion — is when people meet their romantic partners via the Internet without ever meeting them in person.
