WHAT IS A DEAD BEDROOM?
A dead bedroom is defined precisely as it sounds. It describes a lack of sexual intercourse between couples in marriage or romantic relationships, A.K.A. sexless marriages and sexless long-term romantic relationships. This, in turn, leads to feelings of sexual and physical frustration, resentment, depression, and unappreciation in the affected party (be it the boyfriend, girlfriend, husband or wife).
A bedroom is considered dead when a couple have sex less than once a month or just eight (8) times in a year. Sadly, dead bedrooms are almost a common phenomenon across marriages that have hit the seven (7) year mark and above globally.
9 CAUSES OF DEAD BEDROOMS
STRESS: According to multiple studies, this is the leading cause of dead bedrooms globally. The pressure from jobs, kids, paying bills, running a family, recessions and other life transitions can reduce the tendency or appeal to have sex with one’s romantic partner or spouse.
MISMATCHED SEXUAL LIBIDOS: This is the second leading cause of dead bedrooms. In this case, one…
